The Triangle, the Square and the Circle, performance/projection/breathing 12 min

Linked to her previous works Art History(2011) and Colour Theory Exercises (2011-2012) The Triangle, the Square and the Circle (2014) is a continuation of Chang her exploration of abstract forms and their potential spiritual meaning. In this performance she lays on the floor, and breaths.

After a while a projection starts, projected above her. And successively ten painted circles, ten triangles and ten squares appear above her. The triangle, the square and the circle continuously change shape and colour as well. The originally two dimensional drawings, eventually become almost tangible objects in space. While transitioning from circle to triangle and to the square, the projection becomes the so called ‘mental screen’ of both the audience and the artist.

Mother Earth Breathing is commissioned by If I Can't Dance, I Don't Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution and presented during the Performance Days, which will take place from 27 November - 3 December 2014
